11 Apr (Sat): Mandai Forest Ramble

For Nature Society (Singapore) members only

With the announcement of Jurong Bird Park moving to a proposed location in Mandai, Mandai forest is under imminent threat of development. Led by P. Pandian, we will explore this rich, green and little-known area to enjoy a myriad of birds, trees, plants, mammals and insects. This 11-km walk will take approximately six hours through a stretch of forest linked by jogging paths, biking trails, undulating tracks, fruit orchards, rubber plantations and former kampong grounds. Do bring along your binoculars, camera, rain gear, water, snacks and wear sturdy shoes.

The ramble will end at the MOE Diary Farm Adventure Centre on Dairy Farm Road.

Time: 1-7pm maybe later
