10 Jul (Sun): Birdwatching at Bukit Batok

For Nature Society (Singapore) members only

Situated in a densely populated corner of Singapore, Bukit Batok Nature Park is indeed a green gem. This patch of woods that is no bigger than the Botanical Gardens support a surprising variety of bird species, including locally threatened birds like the Violet Cuckoo and the Changeable Hawk Eagle. It is also one of the best places in Singapore, and perhaps South-east Asia, to see the highly threatened Straw-headed Bulbul. Join Ding Li as he explores this little patch of urban greenery for its interesting bird species.

Time: 7.30am-12noon, Meet at the Main Entrance of Bukit Batok Nature Park.
