14 Sep (Sun): Butterfly Walk at Upper Seletar Reservoir

for Nature Society (Singapore) members only

Simon Chan leads this leisurely stroll around Upper Seletar Reservoir park, which is a haunt for Long-tailed Macaques. Butterflies like the Great Mormon, Malay Lacewing, Commander, Common Mormon, Cruiser and many more forest denizens abound. We hope to see the rare Dark Blue Jungle Glory, the seasonal Plain Lacewing and the once-in-a-lifetime encounter, the Lesser Wavy Maplet. As recent as November 2007, the Green Oak Blue made a stunning appearance after being missing for a decade. Registration not needed.
