12-18 May: Highlights of the week ahead

A special appeal: please support the Acres Gala Dinner “Voices of the Wild” on 23 Mar (Fri). There are still plenty of seats available for this special celebration of ACRES' 7th anniversary. This black-tie event promises an evening of fabulous food, wine and enthralling entertainment in support of wildlife.

Two new bridges have just been opened, creating a 9km scenic walk linking Telok Blangah Hill Park with Mount Faber, Kent Ridge Park. Here's more details.

In the gardens, there's a free walk at the National Orchid Garden,

In the mangroves, join the guided walks at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve on Saturday and Sunday.

For the more active, this weekend is the last of the PowerWalk sessions at Sun Plaza Park.

For Nature Society (Singapore) members only, there's a Kent Ridge nature walk.

Other special events include the Go Green with Artworks at the Library.
