3-9 Mar: Highlights of the week ahead

Some updates:

As the school holidays start this weekend, activities for kids kick off with Plants & Me! a workshop at the Botanic Gardens suitable for K1 – P2 levels, and Planting Rice is Lotsa Fun a workshop at the Asian Civilisations Museum and Fort Canning Park.

For the whole family, come to the SMU Animal Day event with lots of activities to do with pets, as well as animal welfare issues.

Also support Acres at Causeway Point a roadshow to highlight wildlife trade and other animal welfare issues.

In the forest, join the guided tour of the MacRitchie Prunus Trail, or the Botanic Gardens Rainforest trail.

In the mangroves, at the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve there's a Marine Fish tour and guided Mangrove walks on Saturday and Sunday. Or help out the Nature Society (Singapore) with their horseshoe crab study.

Some indoor activities include making plant pots out of recycled materials at HortPark, and and exhibition of bird photos by Dato Loke Wan Tho, until May.

Talks this week include: "Where are all the frogs?" a talk at the zoo; and "What on earth does an ecologist do at the World Bank?" at NUS
