25 Feb - 2 Mar: Highlights of events this week

Important notice from Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve: From 18 February to 7 March 2008, maintenance work will be carried out on the Main Bridge. Main Bridge and all routes (Route 1, 2 & 3) will be closed. Visitor Center, Mangrove Boardwalk and the Kranji Nature Trail is still open for visitors to the Reserve. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

This week, join the Jungle Fowls for a special introduction to Pulau Ubin on wheels at Pedal Ubin!

In the gardens, there's an edible and medicinal plants walk at the Botanic Gardens and a vegetable garden tour at Bishan.

In the forest, there are walks at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and the Lower Pierce boardwalk.

In the mangroves, there's a marine fish tour and a mangrove walk at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.

During the week, don't miss episode 2 of Once Upon a Tree - Tides and Coastlines, and Green Drinks, an opportunity to network with those involved in environmental issues in Singapore.

Weekday talks include one about "Managing a Sustainable Global Enviroment" and another about the Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh.
